HAZWOPER SUPERVISOR TRAINING

This course is designed to certify employees who are 40-hour HAZWOPER trained that would be responsible for fulfilling the role of Site Supervisor or Site Safety Officer at a hazardous waste site. Students will use the NIOSH Pocket Guide and the DOT Emergency Response Guidebook to prepare Site Safety Plans, Work Plans and Emergency Contingency Plans. The training will include both desk top and hands-on scenarios. This training course satisfies requirements under 29 CFR, Part 1910.120(e)(4) for initial training as a supervisor.

  • Using the NIOSH Pocket Guide
  • Using the DOT Emergency Response Guidebook
  • Preparing Emergency Contingency Plans
  • Preparing Site Safety Plans
  • Preparing Work Plans
  • Instituting and using the Uniform Chain of Command System
  • Proper Recording of Hazardous Materials Incidents
  • Notifications to State and Federal Agencies

Notified approximately one week prior to start of class.

Duration: One 8 hour day
